My bicycle

Description

This is my bicycle I'm still in the process of restoring. Now it is mechanically sound enough to use but I still have to make and install the lighting. But man do I love the big basket! :D

Most parts I found here and there and adapted them if needed. Other parts like the mudguards of the wheels and the chain I remade using the old parts and basic supplies form the DIY store.

This will be deleted when I upload a descent photo when I completely finish it.

Edit: Had to completely take it apart and keep the good parts. The frame suffered metal fatigue and was both developing fractures en warping. Gave it to a cousin of mine who's a blacksmith.

cool! i have a Sakae (Ringyo) World Custom, 30 years old race bicycle! All the parts, except the rims-Mavic and the "rubbers"-Schwalbe, have the factory poanson "made in Japan". I've made with it(Naluca-bad spirit- is her name) more than 5000km, just last summer and 2 months from this year. Now, with pain in my soul, i have to change the original chain and transmision gear...With current gear configuration, i can go up to 40km/h in the town, 50-60km/h, outside town, 70-90km down the slope. Last summer, the police radar "caught" me in 50km/h area with 90km/h...it was epic, because there is no law to get a speed ticket to a bicycle...
